A day in the life of a developer

Recently I followed a workshop on initiation on coding.
Those who know me probably know that it is not my cup of tea
but since it was mandatory, I had no choice.

Long story short, the first thing they asked us when we started was to open our softwares.
Don’t laugh but your girl here is not that digital, she was not even able to download properly the required files.
And in me, I said: “This is not a good start. It is not my  thing, I don’t even know why I am doing all this…”
The struggle was real, I just wanted to quit.
Then I missed the first day just like this.

But I did the retake 2 days later.
Amazingly, I had so much fun doing it.
Now I have a glimpse of how developers can easily become addicted to this thing.

There is something interesting the lecturer said that captured my attention: “Like any other software, coding has a language. If you enter the right token, the system is automatically programmed to print the information on your screen.”
According to the definition, a token is a thing serving as a visible or tangible representation of a fact.

As I was still doing my thing there is a story of the Bible that came up in my mind. It’s the story of the centurion who came to Jesus pleading with Him to heal his servant. (Matthew 8:7-13)

I was like what is the link between these two?

It is amazing how God can use anything to get our attention.
He answered me: “You see the same way this system is structured, that’s how my Word functions.”

The secret of this soldier is that He was fully convinced that if JESUS says just one word (the token), his servant will be healed (the screen).

As soon as a Word leaves his mouth,
He ensures that it prospers in the thing for which He sent it.

“As the rain comes down from heaven and do not go back without watering the ground, so is my Word. It shall not return to me void but it shall accomplish what I please”. (Isaiah 55:10-13)

If you mix the Word of God with faith you will eat of the best recipe ever.
His Word is backed up by his power,
His WORD never fails.
Not only have we been brought up by the Word
but the Word is also our vital need.
It’s all we need to survive!

Back to the story, in the opposite case, if we enter the wrong token, the system does not recognize it.

And as JESUS said: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. All who came before me where thieves and robbers but my sheep did not hear them” (John 10:27, 8)

JESUS here was giving us a picture of how we should bar from our mind everything that is not in line with the Word of God.

Surely  voices, facts, some people will try to contradict this very Truth,
But through it all, keep your focus on what He has said to you.
Hang on to the Word of God, it will keep you grounded no matter how rushing the storm may be.

And more than just some letters, the Word is a Person.
The Word became flesh and dwelt among people.
The Word talks about JESUS and the Word is JESUS Himself. (John1:1-4)

He is kind and gentle. Trust me, He is the sweetest person you will ever know.
If you have not met Him yet, feel free to contact me at axpted@gmail.com,
It will be my absolute pleasure to hook you up with Him.
Or if you have a testimony on how you have met Him, feel free to share it here or send it to me at the same address.

If you ever forget what I have said before,
Please keep this in your mind

1. It is impossible to know GOD outside of his WORD
2. It is impossible to please HIM without FAITH.
3. Faith is his love language , so have Faith in His Word
4. Let the Word work on you!
5. Let the Word work for you!

So I wish you a happy Sunday!
