I discovered this game not long ago during a webinar on games beyond entertainment. It’s so funny and instructive at the same time. You cannot imagine how much I enjoyed playing it.
In this game you take a snapshot of what you want or what captures your attention. And the more you take snapshot of a scene, the higher is the likelihood of that scene to happen again in an intense way.
For exemple, if you take a snapshot of a someone who is yelling, you will see on your screen many persons yelling.
If you take a snap of people holding hands, you will see on the screen many persons holding hands. In other words, you build your community by taking snapshots.
The purpose of this game is to spread awareness on how we shape our tools and how our tools shape us.
The principle behind it is so wide and deep.
God knows how I needed to be reminded of this reality especially this last month.
This game is somehow a representation of the reality we are living in.
When you start to play, you are given many options on your screen but it is what you put your focus on that predicts the next scene.
Intentionally or not, we are exposed to many information or “options” I would say.
The way we receive them, shape our minds into something good or bad.
As we all know, there is no information without interpretation,
As there is no image without a meaning.
The information we receive becomes a thought. And our lives are literally driven by the thoughts we allow to brood over our mind.
We are in a century where the problem is no longer the lack of information,
But we are flooded with many details to the point of suffocating us sometimes.
It’s true we are not always responsible of the way the information comes to us but we are responsible for what we do with it.
In a such world full of noises, we have to constantly select and to wisely filter what goes into our ears.
You cannot afford to ponder over any thought that comes in your mind if you aspire to be great.
Nor can you afford to listen to voices that want to pull you down.
The Bible warns us to guard our hearts with all diligence,
and there is no better way to do it than starting from our minds.
As they say, you cannot keep birds from flying over your head but you can keep them from building a nest in your hair. The same way you should not focus on every thought that pops up in your mind cause some are from the devil or even from your unrenewed soul.
It’s true when you are born again, your spirit becomes new and you receive eternal life.
But for you to enjoy that life, you need to constantly upgrade your thinking and to continuously renew your mind according to God’s standards.
And here are God’s standards : whatever is honest, whatever is just, pure, lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise , THINK ON THESE THINGS ( Philippians 4:8)
God’s purpose for you is to make you prosper,
To give you eternal and abundant life, unshakable peace, inexhaustible joy, unphantomable wisdom, overflowing health and wealth, glamarous righteous life…
And the only way to enjoy all these benefits is to keep your mind stayed on Him. (Isaiah 26:3).
So with this, I wish you a Happy Month of May filled with Marvelous things!
